Item9344: Add a REGEX function to CALC

Enhancement Proposal Required Extension SpreadSheetPlugin  
Please consider adding a REGEX function to CALC, similar to JavaScript's "re".

It would be handy to be able to define additional string manipulation capabilities that aren't pre-built-in to CALC.

Have you checked out $SUBSTITUTE and $SEARCH (there may be others), are they enough for your needs?

This is an enhancement, and would require a FeatureRequest as it's a standard plugin.
