Often a SEARCH will return something but does not display properly. Currently there is no official way to determine what the SEARCH returned in unrendered state.

The workaround is to put the SEARCH inside <pre> tags, hence: <pre>%SEARCH...%</pre>

It would be neat to have a raw=unrendered so you can debug without editing the page. It's also easier for novices to get their heads around.
