registration is not sufficiently transactional, if there is an error, it deletes the data file, and leaves whatever it has done behind.

I've defered the registration work until after 4.2.0 is released - too many other things in my schedule, It functions like 4.1.2 does. It will go into a 4.2.x patch release unless the changes are too intrusive.

If 4.2.1 patch release is the target then target release is patch and not future. I removed future from the form (undocumented and confusing and n/a does the job if you do not know)

And I can confirm the problem. Especially if the blacklist plugin catch something when you save - it leaves behind the user in .htpasswd and in TWikiUsers? but does not save the user topic.
