If a file is attached to a topic, FOSWIKI provides the handy feature "Create a link to the attached file".
However, links generated like this have the form:
*
filename? : description
In almost all cases, users manually change this to:
*
description?
In my opinion, the filename must not be output again - it is already in the path and if a user needs it, it can be copied from there.
I think it would make sense to change the behaviour of the Wiki accordingly - what is your opinion?

Daniel, this is already possible, but apparently badly documented. There are two settings in
System.DefaultPreferences, namely
ATTACHEDFILELINKFORMAT and
ATTACHEDIMAGEFORMAT, that can be set/overridden accordingly (e.g., by placing redefinitions in topic
WebPreferences).
Closing this...

Cool, thanks!
So you will also improve the documentation of this?
Cheers,
Daniel
