After the clone is completed, make sure to create the test/unit directory. Git ignores empty directories, so it does not create this directory in your local copy. test/unit is needed for installing the unit tests of the extensions (when you use pseudo-install.pl).

therefore, i recommend creating ".gitignore" files in the empty directories that need them.

i am actioning the test/unit one now. if others are discovered, they can be committed using this item.
