I am in the process of moving a large number of topics to another web.

Problems:

• it's painful
• it's one at a time
  • that's painful
• every topic that is moved, has its date stamp updated
  but the content hasn't changed
• every topic that is moved has internal links (potentially) changed
  but they shouldn't be changed, because those pages will be moved too!
• it's painful

We really need a way to bulk move a large number of topics, especially a topic and all of its children and grandchildren, in one easy push without affecting the content!

Before anyone asks: "why can't you do this on the server?" Answer: it's a very large company. Users don't have server access.

Before anyone asks: "why are you moving all of these pages?" Answer: it's a very large company. The org chart changes. Webs get large and need to be restructured.

This is probably even more complex, in that internal links that have been written (or previously renamed to) fully qualified Web.Topic format still have to be updated. This one probably would be best handled by an Extension similar to the MultiTopicSavePlugin. Needs a feature request, some design discussion and a committed developer to do it.
