This question about Using an extension: More info required
%CALENDAR% macro don't works
I'm new to foswiki. and I'm trying to install the CalendarPlugin
Because I use proxy server, I installed the extension manually.
Download the extension in my foswiki root and unzip.
Then, I ran the installer script. (perl CalendarPlugin
_installer) In configure, plugin is enabled.
but, %CALENDAR% macro is not working. It is just a text(%CALENDAR%).
Is this one script line is the end of manual installation?
if not, what should I do?
Check your System/InstalledPlugins page to see if the plugin shows upon the enabled list, and verify if there are any errors listed on that page. Could you be missing one of the prerequisite packages?
The following perl modules must be available:
Date::Calc,>=1.000,cpan,Required. Download from CPAN:Date::Calc
HTML::CalendarMonthSimple,>=1.23,cpan,Required. Download from CPAN:HTML::CalendarMonthSimple

is in enable list.
while installing CalendarPlugin
, does prerequisite packages installed automatically?
my system is ubuntu 2.6.28 server.
and in foswiki configure I got 3 error messages.
/foswiki/data is not writable.
what should i do? t.t
I'm new to linux and foswiki both.
Did you initially install using the tar/zip file downloaded from foswiki.org, or did you install using the Debian packages. Ubuntu can use the .deb packages.
If you installed using the .deb packages, then you must install extensions using the .deb packages as well. You might want to ask on the IRC support channel - there are other Debian/Ubuntu there that could provide better support.
