DBCachePlugin search more than one web at a time?

The basic question is, does DBCachePlugin search only one web, or is there a way for it to search multiple webs?

For example, if I have a web with multiple sub-webs, can I issue one DBQUERY request to return all of the results from the root-web and all of the sub webs or would I need to issue a separate DBQUERY for each individual subweb?

The latter: you will have to query each web individually.
