Upload existing TWiki backups to VM-FOSWIKI

Hi, Congratulations, I really like the Virtual Machine version of Foswiki. I have it running in a VMware server setup on a Windows XP host, very smooth installation.

Could you give me a short run-through how I can upload content from a backup of my existing TWiki to the VM-Foswiki? Is there an FTPserver I can connect to? Or can I access the filesystem via a SMB share? And what's the path of the content?

Hello Stulle

first login as root with password foswiki on the debian linux. check the ip-adresse with ifconfig in the vm, for my vm it will be 192.168.128.150. after that you can transfer files mit winscp which you can download http://winscp.net/. copy the complete directories /twiki/data/<you old twiki web> and the /twiki/pub/<you old twiki web> to the new /foswiki/data and foswiki/pub directory
