The official version of me is:

I have been teaching, researching, and practising design engineering since 1989. I've been involved with research and design of cars, aircraft, spacecraft, robots, temporary structures, toys, home appliances, and medical equipment. My research interests include formal and informal methods of designing, information visualization, and web-based design tools. I'm a member of the Design Society, the Design Research Society ASME, CSME, IEEE, and INCOSE; I'm a founding member of the Canadian Design Engineering Network, and a member of Design Research Canada. I'm currently an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University.

Perhaps a little more pertinently: I've tried all kinds of wiki engines (including the one I wrote myself), but for some things, I keep coming back to this one. I see lots of potential and would like to get more involved, but my other obligations keep me from that, for now.

In the meantime, I would suggest that the two greatest "issues" I have with this particular engine are:

• It's a resource hog.
• Editing the "raw" text is a big challenge for people who I would like to get to use it.

As the opportunity arises, I hope I can become more involved. Till then, I'll politely cheer from the sidelines.
