Discussion

As per the discussions with Michael and Arthur on http://irclogs.foswiki.org/bin/irclogger_log/foswiki?date=2011-01-26 I (Martin Cleaver) would like to advocate that this plugin is important for Foswiki. It gives a solid mechanism to the promise that Foswiki is the basis for reusable applications.

Please answer the following:

I am presently using this plugin

I think this plugin is very important for Foswiki

  • MartinCleaver - 26 Jan 2011:
    • I have an Foswiki app that, the few times I've started with new data, I've just copied the topics in the application to another web. Clearly this is suboptimal. WikiWorkbench? promises to solve this, centralizing the application logic and allowing the one set of logic to be reused across multiple sets of data.
    • As such the community would do well to get behind it while it is in beta form.
  • OliverKrueger - 31 Jan 2011:
    • I think this extension is still too complex in some aspects. Maybe some wizards could hide away those complexity.
    • Some concepts (ie. the single form approach) should be discussed before this becomes a Foswiki standard (compare ManagingApplications)

I don't understand what this plugin does
