Reopening this because of

"removed ifixpng for IE6 ... this browser is history; if you still need a png fix for it go install your own >:)"

Foswiki MUST support IE6.

Otherwise my own company will not be able to upgrade.

And MANY MANY others.

IE6 is still gospel. It is gospel because most large corporations

Many companies are currently testing Windows7. But in my company the upgrade has stalled because too many things do not work in Windows 7.

So we are still in Windows XP. And still on IE6.

Only few power users install Firefox. Where my wife works they are not even allowed to install Firefox.

IE6 is still a CURRENT browser.

JQueryPlugin MUST support IE6.

Removing this part of JQueryPlugin has got NOTHING to do with JQueryPlugin's support for IE6!!!

This was a third-party jquery plugin being added to JQueryPlugin long time ago.

It never was used.

It never worked.

All other components of JQueryPlugin are checked for IE6 compatibility.

Their ability/no-ability to work fine with IE6 is TOTALLY independent of this part being removed from JQueryPlugin. They don't rely on this png fix. They don't use it at all. This was orphaned code.

A much much better png fix for IE6 is http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/

I hope I finally was clear enuf.
