Item8887: trunk Group based permissions might have problems

I just created a nested web, on which i added an ALLOWWEBVIEW=SomeGroup

this failed spectacularly, in that no member of that group was able to see the web.

I changed it to list the users explicitly, and it works - so there's something odd.

needs unit test to confirm it works as it should..

Did you check FINALPREFERENCES in the containing web?

yes. as I say, the ALLOWWEBVIEW setting works as desired when using WikiNames, but fails using the GroupName. So if FINALPREFERENCES was involed, then that would have a bigger bug.

it is possible that this happened due to a trailing space in the setting - but I'll keep it open in case i find time to try to reproduce it again

Dropping to Normal so it's not treated as a release blocker.
