thought I'd sidestep and try SVN::Web - only to get an error after a massive ports install frown

root@nextwiki /home/svn/public_html # /usr/local/bin/svnweb-install
/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/mach/auto/SVN/_Ra/_Ra.so: Undefined symbol "svn_ra_init_ra_libs"
svn web support tools seem annoying atm.

Project environment for 'NextWiki' created.

You may now configure the environment by editing the file:

/home/trac/trac.nextwiki.org/conf/trac.ini

If you'd like to take this new project environment for a test drive, try running the Trac standalone web server `tracd`:

tracd --port 8000 /home/trac/trac.nextwiki.org

Then point your browser to http://localhost:8000/trac.nextwiki.org. There you can also browse the documentation for your installed version of Trac, including information on further setup (such as deploying Trac to a real web server).

The latest documentation can also always be found on the project website:

http://trac.edgewall.org/

Congratulations!

You may try it out at: http://nextwiki.org:8000

Configuration might be a bit weird, but I hadn't done any in ages smile Sven / Eugen, feel free to fix it.

tracd is running under screen, which I've detached, so any root should be able to screen -r and C-c to restart it.

Project environment for 'Foswiki' created.

You may now configure the environment by editing the file:

/home/trac/trac.foswiki.org/conf/trac.ini

If you'd like to take this new project environment for a test drive, try running the Trac standalone web server `tracd`:

tracd --port 8000 /home/trac/trac.foswiki.org

Then point your browser to http://localhost:8000/trac.foswiki.org. There you can also browse the documentation for your installed version of Trac, including information on further setup (such as deploying Trac to a real web server).

The latest documentation can also always be found on the project website:

http://trac.edgewall.org/

Congratulations!

You may try it out on: http://foswiki.org:8000

I'll fix Apache to proxy requests there for trac.foswiki.org/changeset

-- OlivierRaginel - 19 Nov 2008 - 09:24

Ok, trac is installed using mod_python, and http://trac.foswiki.org/changeset redirects to http://trac.foswiki.org/browser/changeset, so the commit mail links aren't broken.

I'd say this looks good. Thanks to test and update the task accordingly.

I just completed the initial setup, setting logo, project name, authentication using the htpasswd file for the foswiki, the svn.access file, and turned off the ticketing, milestone and wiki.

I'll look into further customisations later - most i have need to be ported from trac 0.10.
