gee, mac os x should really be supported "out of the box". raising to urgent.

While I agree with the sentiment, I do not agree that this should be a release blocker for 1.1, esp. as no-one is currently working on it AFAICT.

sadly, I have been working on it on the side while trying to get the strawberry unit tests to pass - but I can't commit until i get a reasonable unit test run.

I agree with Crawford.

A Mac is not the typical machine you will buy and put in a server room to act as a web server for Foswiki. People will use a Windows server version, or some machine running a Unix flavour.

Running Foswiki on a Mac is a typical developer thing done by a dev that uses a Mac and develops Foswiki stuff on it.

It will be very nice for them that Foswiki runs out of the box, but it is not a release blocker. Downgrading to Normal. Normal does not prevent anyone interested in this to fix it before 1.1 release. But it is a bit hard to claim that we cannot release 1.1 because Mac owners have to change a setting in configure to make it work.

er, sorry? I've had quite alot of contact with companies that run their foswiki server on OSX. Its a better, and just as mainstream corporate environment than Windows!

Bumping this up to a unknown / future release. Nothing was committed to 1.1.0.
