so if your skin is implemented using twiki.yourskin.tmpl, it will not be found.

Is this one fixed with the checkins we see or is there more work?

I think it is high ambition level to expect TWiki skins to work. We have normally not even been able to get a 4.1 skin to work on 4.2.

But if possible then cool.

it partially works, but I found yesterday that we (sensibly) renamed some TMPL:DEF's in the default skin, eg twikistyle to defaultstyle, and so am hoping to make a compatibility mapping for those too.

downgrading to normal as i'm not going to get enought work done on it for v1.0.0 -

closing - it was possible, but i've run out of time, and most skins that need it will benefit from the eyeballs needed to fix it - still, if someone needs it, or wants to take a crack, in Template.pm, when each TMPL:DEF is imported from file, check if it matches a renamed DEF, and if so, change its name. - obviously will require another mapping in TWikiCompatibilityContrib? 's Config.spec listing old->new mappings.
