When you delete bullets the cursor disappers and it is no longer possible to enter text. After clicking somewhere else you can enter text again.

Test case:

H2 Heading

• edit this page with WYSIWYG editor
  
• select all four bullets
• and delete them
• then start to type some letters

Still the case in TinyMCE? 3.2.2, which leads me to believe that this is a problem in the browser (firefox).
