It's becoming increasingly popular to run TWiki under an accellerator like speedy or mod_perl.

It would be helpful if configure would touch bin/view on updates, as this could trig the accellerators to reload perl modules. The exact file to touch could be a configure parameter.

An often seen issue is people forgetting to restart their accellerator after enabling a new plugin.

Speedy reloads per default if bin/view is touched, and mod_perl can be made to (ReloadTouchFile? parameter / could be mentioned in TWiki:TWiki.ApacheConfigGenerator).

Setting this as an enhancement request.
