Item255: Detox the distributed doc

Even after the rude mechanicals have finished renaming topics, there are still many references to T* in the doc, scripts and code.

This is a mop-up item for detoxing these references.

Use Item295 instead for future checkins.
Reopened for minor detoxes. No longer urgent.
