Using the 1.0.3-1 installer for FoswikiOnMacOSXLeopard and trying to install any extension via configure I get this error:

Undefined subroutine &Compress::Zlib::gzopen called at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/IO/Zlib.pm line 434,  line 1.

I have perl 5.8 installed via mac ports and activated in foswiki via ../tools/rewriteshbang.pl

Update:

Additionally LWP needs to be installed:

sudo port install p5-libwww-perl

Now it seems to work.
