I moved the default implementations of getRefTopic and getField up to the interface (now base class). Not sure what more could be done, TBH. You got any ideas?

I'm not that sure that the functions should be in Search / Store - given the Listeners and cache we're heading towards Store's having customised subclasses of Meta.
