About this page
My vision (
MichaelCorbett) for this page is that this page would be first port of call for a journo/blogger wishing to write a story on Foswiki. It should therefore list:
- Press contact for the project (probably just an email address for privacy reasons)
- A list of all previous stories that have been written about Foswiki
- A list of pages that are "hot" i.e. include stuff that the journo/blogger might like to write about.
I've written an article about twiki mentioning nextwiki for an german IT magazine called iX (as foswiki was not out at that moment of time).
Do we want to capture such publications as well? And where?

Sorry, but I am not sure where else to put it:
I just saw a report on open source software in business environment which is apparently is published yearly. TWiki is mentioned there and some other competition, too. Depending on how the community thinks about it, I think it could be an aim to be published there next year!

Draft of a similar version in English:
Dear John Doe,
In October, 2008, the Foswiki project was born, forking from the TWiki project. Foswiki stands for "Free and Open Source Wiki" and it continues the tradition of a community-led project delivering a flexible collaboration tool that supports user-created applications.
On January 9, 2009, the first official release of Foswiki was made available for download at
http://foswiki.org/Download/ . Our team would greatly appreciate it if you could write about Foswiki to help spread the news about this event.
The Foswiki team has worked hard to enhance the stability of the product, reviewing the software to improve its performance, security, robustness and maintainability. Since the start of the project, nearly 1900 code submissions have been made, preparing the way for new features and capabilities to be released. Foswiki maintains full backwards compatible support with TWiki, and has released a new architecture to enable future enhancements to better support mod_perl, as well as a standalone "Foswiki-on-a-stick" (that is, running a self-contained installation from a USB memory key). An advanced query-based search method has also been added.
