Goals

1. Build the Foswiki brand and increase visibility of the Foswiki project.
2. Community building: organize events like the yearly FoswikiGeneralAssembly or the FoswikiCamp
3. Help on building up marketing material, like advertisments and press releases
4. Watch out for competitors not only in the market segment Foswiki is in but also in related products that overlap in use cases
5. Encourage Foswiki community members to get involved in Foswiki marketing; coordinate the activity of those users.

Help Wanted

We need people that

• have good press relations: we need to increase effectiveness and coverage while reaching out into press
• have experience in market research: knowledge about related products, competitors, related organisations
• have experience in advertising: good copywriting, interesting ideas to increase attention
• want to sponsor meeting locations
• want to participate on conferences representing the Foswiki project
