Public sites running Foswiki

Foswiki is in use in numerous companies and educational facilities, usually protected behind firewalls. We cannot show screenshots from those sites, but the list of companies that are using Foswiki might give you an idea.

Some Foswiki sites are public. Below is a selected list.

	biofuelswiki.org The Biofuels Wiki provides a virtual online encyclopedia about renewable liquid transportation fuels, the feedstocks required for biofuels production and biorefining and the industrial bioproducts and coproducts that result from conversion of biomass. Thanks to contributions by more than a 200 people from all over the world, the biofuels wiki has grown to more than 1,200 pages covering the broad range of inter-related subjects and terminology making up the biofuels and related sectors.

	psi.ch The Paul Scherrer Institute, PSI is the largest research centre for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Foswiki is used as Intranet plattform throughout the institute with over 2.000 people having access. Additional, Foswiki is used as web content management authoring backend for the public website.
	isc.astro.cornell.edu Collaboration on a NASA Great Observatory mission.
	atomikos.com Public website of Atomikos Solutions (transaction management software).
	dekko.nl Personal website of Karin Arink, visual artist. Foswiki is used as easy to use Content Management System.
	sloveens.org Online dictionary Slovene-Dutch. Uses Foswiki as data storage and front end and a MySQL database for fast searches. On every topic change the database gets automatically updated.
	visiblearea.com Personal weblog that uses the simple BlogAddOn.
	UMN System Status University of Minnesota System Status built on a combination of FormPlugin, SendEmailPlugin and a custom Plugin and Wiki App behind a varnish reverse proxy.
	Taxonomy Research & Information Network The TRIN wiki is an important tool for biodiversity researchers to collaborate successfully when individuals are separated by geography or institutional barriers.

	Cm Crossroads Wiki collaboration site about Configuration management. (custom skin developed to use main site's css)
	dekko.nl/STATE/ Online novel by Karin Arink. Chapters are added on a regular base.

	muziki.org Muziki: Create, Edit and Share your Songs. Music editor written in JavaScript, backend by Foswiki.

• The Venus Twilight Experiment - We are establishing an international collaboration for deploying specialized instruments in the transit visibility area. We also realy upon the collaboration of observers that will use professional instruments at several sites. The multi-wavelength data will be interpreted thanks to a numerical model capable of reproducing the observations.
• Rudder wiki - Rudder is "drift assessment" software. It manages the configuration of an information system from a central web console and keeps that configuration in good health, automatically reporting or correcting errors, keeping drift from nominal behaviour low.
• National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) Wiki - The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) designs, builds, and runs the world's most sophisticated radio telescopes for scientists to study the Sun, planets, solar system, distant stars, galaxies, black holes, and other mysterious objects millions to billions of light-years away.
